Mission
The Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology [EiTEX] has the following mission:
- To create suitable environment for teaching and learning, which enables students acquiring knowledge and skills and learn to apply it properly with due consideration for ethical, ecological, and economic issues.
- To conduct relevant research and disseminate findings and provide knowledge-based technological services to satisfy the needs of industry and society.

- EiTEX aspires to be one of the three premier research institutes in Textile and Fashion Technology in Africa in 2025 recognized for its quality education, research, and outreach activities.
