Israeli Medical Team Provides Advanced Training at Tibebe Ghion Specialized Hospital

Bahir Dar, Ethiopia – September 14, 2025: A team of distinguished Israeli doctors, led by Prof. Elhanan Bar-On, a Pediatric Orthopedist, and Prof. Tzipora Strauss, a Neonatologist, has provided advanced training and clinical services at Tibebe Ghion Specialized Hospital, Bahir Dar University. 
The campaign included specialized training sessions in pediatric orthopedics, neonatology, and general pediatrics for hospital staff, residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Over the past week, the team has worked closely with the hospital staff and medical students. 
The team, comprising both doctors and neonatal nurses, conducted seminars, skill lab workshops, and clinical services aimed at enhancing the skills of the local medical personnel. 
This collaboration is set to evolve into a long-term partnership, with plans to jointly establish subspecialty/fellowship programs in the near future.
The team’s contribution is expected to significantly strengthen the hospital’s capacity to provide advanced orthopedic and neonatal care.
