Currently an Assistant Professor and researcher at the Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX), Bahir Dar University. Main responsibilities include conducting research in textile chemistry, teaching master’s level courses, supervising master’s, and PhD students, developing MSc and PhD curriculums, and participating in various extracurricular activities.  My research focuses on textile chemistry, specificallysmart and functional textiles, Textile dyeing, and functionalization using eco-friendly biobased agents, and resource-efficient innovative technologies such as supercritical CO₂ dyeing, inkjet printing, and others.
